Swann Backs Local Farmers on Back British Farming Day

South Antrim MP Robin Swann joined representatives from the Ulster Farmers’ Union at Westminster today to mark Back British Farming Day and call for stronger backing for local agri-food businesses.

The event highlighted the economic and social importance of the agricultural sector, showcasing its potential for growth alongside the key policy measures needed to support local food production.

Speaking from Westminster, Robin Swann MP said:

"Farming is hugely important to our local economy in South Antrim and across Northern Ireland. Our family farms do a vital job putting high-quality food on our tables and maintaining our countryside, but they need the right backing from Government to thrive.
