Swann Raises Concerns Over Evri Delivery Failures Ahead of Christmas

Robin Swann MP has written to Evri after a number of South Antrim constituents contacted his office to complain about poor parcel delivery services in the run-up to Christmas.

In recent weeks, constituents have reported parcels not being delivered, inadequate proof of delivery photographs (often showing blank or black images) and difficulty accessing effective customer support, with heavy reliance on automated systems rather than direct assistance.

With many families relying on parcel deliveries to ensure Christmas gifts arrive on time and in good condition, Mr Swann said the situation is causing understandable frustration and concern.

Mr Swann said:

“People entrust delivery companies with Christmas gifts and important items, expecting a reliable service. The issues being reported to my office fall well short of that expectation and are causing real anxiety for families at an already busy time of year.”

The South Antrim MP has asked Evri to set out what steps are being taken to address these problems, manage increased Christmas demand and ensure parcels are delivered to the correct address, on time and in the expected condition.

Mr Swann added:

“I have asked Evri to explain how they intend to improve delivery performance and customer support in the coming weeks. Constituents deserve reassurance that these issues are being taken seriously and that confidence in the service can be restored.”
